I originally designed the Wearable Fly Wallet because I take my kids fishing with me most of the time, which can be really tricky. Digging through my fly boxes to find what I need is not usually an option, I have to be quick so I can help the kids haul in luggers. I also don't like wearing a vest or bulky front pack, especially if I'm in my pontoon boat.
I also love the look of traditional leather fly wallets, but they just aren't practical for everyday fishing use. I wanted my version to be fully usable, and able to stand up to the beatings any fly gear takes. You can strap it on your forearm, or bicep if you're small. It also fits great on a belt. I designed it with the very highest quality leather I could get, because I want this to be a piece that is passed on from generation to generation. The idea of children and grandchildren being able to remember their loved one using the wearable fly wallet, and then in turn being able to use it brings me to tears.
The latch system allows you to adjust the fit easily with one hand, and it looks really cool. The leather straps are attached with high quality brass latches, which can double as a D-Loop to attach snips.
